What Are Dermal Fillers?
Dermal fillers are non-surgical cosmetic injectables designed to add volume, smooth out deep wrinkles, and enhance facial contours. As we age, our collagen production decreases, leading to sagging skin and fine lines. Our dermal fillers in West Palm Beach help counteract these effects, providing instant rejuvenation and long-lasting results.

Dermal Filler FAQs
Which fillers last the longest?
Every filler we carry has great longevity. We love and only use products that integrate nicely with your tissue to not only look but feel as natural as possible. We also carry biostimulating products such as Radiesse which promote collagen and elastin production, which in turn results in longevity. In all, you can always expect to get about a year out of any filler treatment.
When should you start using fillers?
We get this question a lot, there is no “right time” to start getting fillers. Fillers are used both for anti-aging as well as contouring, volumizing, and lifting. The question is really what is your goal? Are you interested in getting fillers because you want to contour, or enhance/improve certain facial features. If that’s the case then you can start getting fillers at any age. If you are interested in anit-aging treatments so you age gracefully with less lines, wrinkles, sagging etc than we recommend coming in as soon as you start the aging process start typically mid 20s to mid 30s depending on your lifestyle, eating habits, and genetics. There are also patients that may be deeper into the aging process and would just like to rewind the clock, these patients should come in as soon as they like. In short, there is no real “time” to start with fillers. The more important thing is to make sure you are seeing a provider that understands your goals and expectations and keeps you looking natural and refreshed.
What do fillers do?
When administered by a skilled professional, dermal fillers can yield impressive results. They can rejuvenate the face by adding volume, providing lift, and enhancing contour. Fillers also have the potential to improve facial symmetry and overall harmony, resulting in a more refreshed and less fatigued appearance. Additionally, certain types of fillers stimulate the skin's production of collagen and elastin, contributing to longer-lasting effects.
Can filler be removed?
There are many types of fillers. Hyaluronic acid(HA) fillers, calcium hydaroxyapetite fillers (CaHa), poly-l-lactic acid (PLLA) fillers, polymethyl-m acid (PMMA) fillers, and more. Hyaluronic acid fillers are the only fillers currently on the market that can be completed dissolved. The other kinds of fillers may be able soften with dissolvement however they will not fully dissipate.
Are fillers painful?
Filler treatments are very comfortable, we offer a full comfort menu and use special techniques and instruments to ensure a very comfortable experience. We can topically numb the area being treated, fully anesthetize the area if necessary, we also offer pro-nox (laughing gas) to help with any anxiety or nervousness before and during the procedure as well as other distracting methods to help make the experience very pleasant.
Are fillers safe?
As with any medical procedure there are potential risks or side effects, however for the most part getting a filler procedure is very safe especially when choosing an experienced provider who is highly skilled. The most common adverse events are bruising, swelling, and mild tenderness after the procedure, which typically resolve in 1-2 weeks.
How Long Does A Dermal Filler Treatment Take?
Dermal filler treatments are quick and efficient cosmetic procedures that typically take about 15 to 60 minutes to complete. The duration of the treatment can vary based on several factors, including the number of areas being treated, the type of filler used, and the specific technique used.
Are dermal fillers the same as lip fillers?
Dermal fillers and lip fillers are related but not exactly the same. Dermal fillers are a general term for injectable substances used to restore volume, smooth wrinkles, and enhance facial contours. They are commonly composed of materials like hyaluronic acid and can be applied to various areas of the face. On the other hand, lip fillers specifically refer to the use of dermal fillers that enhance the size, shape, and volume of the lips.
What areas can be treated with dermal fillers?
Dermal fillers are versatile cosmetic treatments that can address a variety of facial areas to rejuvenate your appearance. Common areas of treatment include the nasolabial folds, frown lines, smile lines, and marionette lines. Additionally, dermal fillers are often used to plump and shape the lips, smooth out chin wrinkles, and soften the appearance of jowls. They can also be injected in the cheeks to restore volume and in the under-eye area to reduce the appearance of hollows.
What’s the difference between dermal fillers and Botox/Dysport?
Dermal fillers and Botox/Dysport are both popular non-surgical cosmetic treatments used to enhance the appearance of the face, but they work in different ways. Dermal fillers are used to restore lost volume, smooth out wrinkles, and enhance facial contours. They are primarily made from hyaluronic acid. On the other hand, Botox and Dysport are types of neuromodulators, which are used to relax the muscles that cause dynamic wrinkles, such as forehead lines, crow's feet, and frown lines. While dermal fillers and Botox/Dysport can both improve facial aesthetics separately, they are often used in combination for a comprehensive anti-aging strategy.
Can dermal fillers help with acne scars?
Dermal fillers can be an effective option for improving the appearance of acne scars. These injectable treatments work by adding volume to the skin, helping to smooth out and fill in the pitted or depressed areas caused by acne scarring.
